10 PEAKS

Exactly 16 months from now, BAKTAS MSU will turn 10. The student base and theGensan-based COE conceptualized an exciting event: TEN PEAKS.

What is this?
WE have to climb ten peaks. Yes, it's 10 peaks (aside from the regular peaks weare climbing as much as possible). Since the membership has already spread out geographically outside Gensan, it's high time to let our footprints mark onother peaks. And wouldn't it be great to highlight this on our tenth year anniversary?

When is this?
We are still on the planning period for this grand activity that's why we needyour input. This will spell the materiality of the event.

Our objective
Celebrate our being "Baktas Mountaineer" in ten ways and in ten peaks.

Here's what you can do:
1.) Climb a peak within your area.
2.) Let us know which mountain you will be climbing and when.
3.) Climbing dates should fall from kick off period till the anniversary. Final dates will be sent to you.
4.) With your camera or videocam on hand, document the event.
5.) Write about your climb. It doesn't need a pro to do it!
6.) Have your climb journal published, or send it to us!
7.) Student base will gather and collate the
8.) Spread the word to other members and you might want them to join you! It's good to have them in baktas climb!
9.) Tip: You can join with other groups' climb if you don't know the details of a certain mountain.
10.) Always inform us with your plans so we can map out the ten peaks!
11.) The climbs doesn't have to be synchronized in just one date. It will startfrom kick-off date and will end a week before our anniversary.
12.) To cap off the grand event, let's gather in Gensan and celebrate. To those who are away from Gensan, I will keep you posted on promo airfares so you can avail of great airfare discounts. Remember we still have 17 months to prepare,so there's no reason you can't join.
13.) Of course our anniversary is on the 13th of September 2010. Student base and Gensan-based COE are planning for this grand gathering.

Any suggestions? Please coordinate with the student base and gensan-based COEs. We need to hear from you.
